Την κατάσταση στο Αφγανιστάν βάζουν στην ατζέντα του έκτακτου συμβουλίου Υπουργών Εσωτερικών Υποθέσεων, οι MED-5, που θα διεξαχθεί την Τετάρτη 18 Αυγούστου με τηλεδιάσκεψη, με επιστολή του κ. Μηταράκη προς τον Πρόεδρο του Συμβουλίου κο. Aleš Hojs.

Συγκεκριμένα, οι 5 Μεσογειακές χώρες ζητάνε να συζητηθούν οι έκτακτες συνθήκες στο Αφγανιστάν και οι επιπτώσεις που πιθανώς να έχουν στο μεταναστευτικό στις χώρες υποδοχής αλλά και σε ολόκληρη την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση.

MED-5 puts situation in Afghanistan on the agenda of Emergency Home Affairs Council

The situation in Afghanistan is to be included on the agenda of the Emergency Council of Ministers of Home Affairs, which will be held on Wednesday August 18 via teleconference, after a request of MED-5 submitted by a letter of Mr. Mitarachi’s to the President of the Council Mr. Aleš Hojs.

More specifically, the 5 Mediterranean countries call for a discussion of the emergency situation in Afghanistan and the possible impact on migration in the countries of first reception and in the European Union.
